Democrat “Leadership” Failed Small Businesses

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Leadership are solely responsible for the destruction of America’s Small Businesses.  We are witnessing the Democrats put their Party over people’s livelihood while Nancy Pelosi sits in her house “eating $13 dollar a pint ice cream out of her $24,000 fridge.”

On Wednesday, the PPP dried up.  “The Paycheck Protection Program ran out of money…because Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, blocked the necessary $250 billion replenishment for the program that Congressional Republicans tried to deliver,” the Republican National Committee said in a statement on Wednesday. “Now ‘Nancy Antoinette’ has to explain to America why she chose to show off her luxury refrigerators and $13-dollar a pint ice cream collection from her chateau in San Francisco instead of funding the Paycheck Protection Program which has saved millions of jobs all across the country.”

A total of $377 Billion was allocated for small businesses out of the original $2 Trillion Stimulus Package, but it was clearly not enough.  This was to be the first of many phases in aiding Americans and Small Businesses.  Instead of doing her job, as a servant of the people, Nancy is playing politics at the expense of American Families, their businesses and their livelihood. She has stalled Congress from passing legislation; she has stalled the American Economic Machine.

Hundreds of thousands of small businesses are hurting amid the Chinese Virus. More than 4 Million businesses have already applied for funds while only $17 Billion had been appropriated as of Wednesday.

Even Democrats have pressured Pelosi to immediately pass funding to help Small Businesses. Kern Mills, Obama’s former small business chief, has urged Pelosi in an interview with Roll Call. “Congress has to act as soon as possible,” Mills said in an interview with Roll Call Thursday, “Number one, get the money replenished.” There have been a total of 15 House Democrats who have called for immediate bipartisan action. They are: Jason Crow (D-CO), Dianna DeGette (D-CO), Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Kendra Horn (D-OK), Joe Cunningham (D-SC), Anthony Brindisi (D-NY), Ami Bera (D-CA), Gil Cisneros (D-CA), Max Rose (D-NY), Tom O’Halleran (D-AZ), Any Kim (D-NJ), Cindy Axne (D-IA), Haley Stevens (D-MI), Abigail Spanberger (D-VA).

Senator Kristen Sinema (D-AZ) also called for bipartisanship to fun America’s businesses.

As of now, “The SBA is currently unable to accept new applications for the Paycheck Protection Program based on available appropriations funding,” the Small Business Administration said Thursday. “Similarly, we are unable to enroll new PPP lenders at this time.”

Millions of small businesses are at risk of failing because of Pelosi’s stubbornness and incompetence. Nancy has neglected her oath of office and has neglected the American People.

Mitch McConnell set up a possible vote for Tuesday. “It’s past time to get this done for the country,” McConnell said. Pelosi and Co. have been trying to get funding for local and state governments, thus holding up any votes. McCarthy an Pelosi have continued to remain at a standstill. “I cannot understand after watching another 5 million get unemployed how Speaker Pelosi continues to say no,” McCarthy said in a press call with reporters.

If a vote passes the Senate on Tuesday, the House is not expected to meet any earlier than Wednesday. It is a complete shame to see our elected political officials shirk their duty and fail to represent the best interests of America at such a critical time.

God Bless our Small Businesses and the backbone of our economy. We, the American People, have you and your families in our hearts and prayers.
