To accurately understand the depth of the left’s depravity and death cult mentality, which is currently on full display in the wake of the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, we have to pull the thread a bit.
Long before Elon Musk came along and bought Twitter, turning it into the free speech platform now known as X, the social media site was the left’s sandbox and they just assumed they had the right to say who could play in it. When conservatives balked at the unfair treatment they received, they looked for alternatives, such as Parler and Gab.
Oh, how the left laughed at conservatives for both prizing free speech and despising the attempts to silence voices on the right. They mocked the rise of alternative social media and the determination of the right to find a more level playing field away from Twitter.
Then Elon Musk bought Twitter, and then Donald Trump won the second term he wasn’t supposed to win.
Cue the leftist outrage, tantrums, and drama-filled exits from X. Where did they all go? To their own little deranged utopia at a site called Bluesky. As RedState’s Brandon Morse recently reported, that went just as well as you thought it would, with users reporting each other for abuse and any slightly sane posts, such as saying there are only two genders, being immediately flagged and deleted. Here’s more from Brandon:
They should understand that this is what they wanted, though. They wanted this paradise where the left truly ruled the roost and their supremacy couldn’t be questioned, and when I say “can’t be questioned,” I mean by anyone, not even the left. If someone on the victimhood hierarchy proclaims something is offensive, there’s nothing anyone can do about it on the left except bend the knee and take the whippings. There is no reasoning, and there is no complaining.
You will be made to fall in, or you will be ejected.
Bluesky’s newest distinction is that of being home to the left’s death cult, who aren’t just celebrating the murder of Brian Thompson but are actively calling for more assassinations of people they don’t like.
The insanity seems to have started and escalated with the odious Taylor Lorenz, who applauded Thompson’s brutal slaying and openly suggested that other healthcare CEOs should suffer the same fate.

Taylor Lorenz is celebrating the murder of Brian Thompson. She is seriously the most despicable human being. pic.twitter.com/BTKBttLtY2

Lest you think it’s just the creepy Lorenz who has an insatiable bloodlust for people she doesn’t like, many other leftists felt emboldened to publicly express their hope to see more successful people be gunned down while just going about their business.
I will mourn the death of one man after I finish morning the deaths of the more than 1 million other people who have died in the past 10 years alone because of private health insurance.
It may take a while.

It’s important to note here that these aren’t anonymous, fringe accounts. These are people who work at the highest levels of media, government, and academia who are brazenly calling for their political opponents to be executed.
It’s also important to note, as many on Twitter are pointing out, that the death cult that’s celebrating Brian Thompson’s assassination overlaps quite a bit with the death cult that’s cheering on Hamas’ effort to extinguish the state of Israel.
It goes without saying that there is a very large overlap between the people here celebrating the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and those who celebrate Hamas violence.
There is no limiting principal to those who see violence as an acceptable tool of politics
