Zelensky says WWlll may have ALREADY started and draws parallels with start of WWll as he begs Biden to ‘protect Ukraine’s skies’

  •  Zelensky said Russia may have already started World War III in an interview with NBC’s News Lester Holt 
  • ‘Nobody knows whether it may have already started. And what is the possibility of this war if Ukraine will fall, in case Ukraine will? It’s very hard to say,’ Zelensky said
  • Interview came after Zelensky gave heart-felt speech to Congress, pleading for more aid for the Ukraine 
  • Zelensky told Congress to ‘do more’ to defend his country and invoked Martin Luther King in rousing speech 
  • He said Ukraine is going through 9/11 and Pearl Harbor every day and shared a graphic video of the invasion 
  • It included buildings being destroyed by missile strikes, dead children and bodies being put in mass graves 
  • The Ukrainian president also called on Biden to become the ‘leader of the world’ and the ‘leader of peace’ 
  • Zelensky also called for a new alliance outside of NATO to prevent future attacks and more weapons and jets
  • ‘The destiny of our country is being decided,’ he said as he urged the U.S. to help establish a no-fly zone
  • Towards the end of his speech he said his life stopped ‘once the hearts of 100 children stopped beating’
