The Biden administration has admitted to spreading disinformation about Russia, particularly with regards to their alleged use of chemical weapons, in order to demonize them among the masses.
U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News that they lied about the potential use of chemical weapons in Russia. They claim they spread this disinformation knowingly to the American public in order to keep Russian President Vladimir Putin off-guard.
Deep state hacks are out in the press lauding the efforts of disingenuous government officials brazenly lying to the masses as a victory of democracy, or something.
“It’s the most amazing display of intelligence as an instrument of state power that I have seen or that I’ve heard of since the Cuban Missile Crisis,” said Tim Weiner, a CIA historian. “It has certainly blunted and defused the disinformation weaponry of the Kremlin.”
U.S. intelligence defends their disinformation campaign as being necessary. Because Putin allegedly spreads disinformation, that makes the U.S. lying to the public noble and virtuous, because it heads off Putin’s disinformation. They believe the public is stupid enough to accept this (and, sadly, they may be right).
“It doesn’t have to be solid intelligence when we talk about it,” a U.S. official said. “It’s more important to get out ahead of them — Putin specifically — before they do something. It’s preventative. We don’t always want to wait until the intelligence is 100 percent certainty that they are going to do something. We want to get out ahead to stop them.”
