President Biden on Friday signed legislation to avoid a railroad strike, celebrating it as a “historic” raise for union workers while acknowledging a fight for paid sick leave “isn’t over.”
Biden said failing to reach an agreement “could have been a real disaster.”
“Look, I know this bill doesn’t have paid sick leave, but these rail workers and frankly, every worker in America deserves. But that fight isn’t over,” Biden said.
