Walter Reed hospital while he recovers from a medical complication, photos his staff posted appear to show.
“Productive morning with Senator Fetterman at Walter Reed discussing the rail safety legislation, Farm Bill and other Senate business,” his chief of staff, Adam Jentleson, tweeted on Monday. “John is well on his way to recovery and wanted me to say how grateful he is for all the well wishes. He’s laser focused on PA & will be back soon.”
Included in the post were several photos of Jentleson and Fetterman appearing to discuss legislation. The Democratic senator appears reading papers in most of them.

Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center last month seeking treatment for clinical depression. His health and fitness to serve have been a topic of discussion since he suffered a stroke in May 2022.
Republicans have seized on the hospitalization and Fetterman’s relative absence from public life, demanding he appear on camera or resign.
Jentleson’s post attracted some scrutiny from conservative commentators such as Turning Point USA founder Charile Kirk, who opined that “You know we’re living in a simulation when United States Senators are forced to produce ‘proof of life’ photos.”
