A video has been making the rounds on social media in the aftermath of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson being fired from his hosting job and some are speculating if what he said may have played a role.

The interview is from a December 2022 interview he did with former Democrat Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard in which he said that some members of Congress are “controlled by the intelligence agencies.”

“There are members of Congress who are controlled by the intelligence agencies. I’m not speculating about this, I know this. I lived there for 35 years. I know this,” the former Fox News host said.

“I had a very high-ranking member of the House Intel Committee tell me at dinner at a restaurant in Washington, he’d been drinking. ‘We’ve got to talk about this.’ I said to text me. He said, ‘I don’t text.’ Why is that? Well, he said ‘the NSA reads my texts.’ I said, ‘The NSA reads your texts? You’re the head guy on the Intelligence Committee. You’re their boss? You’re providing oversight in our Constitutional system,’” he said. “Yeah, but they’re still spying on him.”

“The second thing: Michael McCaul, who is the leader of the neocons in the House, I got into an argument once with him last year on the phone. He told somebody that I was a Russian agent or something. And I was outraged! So I called him on the phone, and I used bad language. I was really mad. He said, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, I that was just what the intel briefers told me, that you’re working for Russia,’” the former host said.

“And I said, “That’s what the intel briefers told you? You believe your f***ng intel briefers? How old are you, son?’” he said.

“I’m from DC. My dad was in this world. Like, you’re being manipulated by your intel briefers. Duh!” he said. “And he said they had all sorts of corroborating evidence. You’ve seen evidence I’m a Russian agent? I’m an American. I was born here. I’ve never lived anywhere else. I’m pretty patriotic. What an outrageous thing to say!”

“Basically, he tells me I believe what they say. And I told him like five times, I probably shouldn’t even be repeating this, but I was so mad, I was thinking about this, this morning. Because I just saw that McCaul is now sending more money to Ukraine. Like, why are you doing that? Because you’re controlled by the intel agencies. That is true, And I’m just absolutely sick of it,” he said.

Donald Trump Jr. has said he was warned by insiders at Fox News that network bosses were not happy with his criticism following the sudden firing of top-rated host Tucker Carlson last week.

According to RadarOnline.com, the former president’s oldest son says he was told to “expect retaliation” after ripping the firing as unwise and accusing top executives of “censorship.”

He went on to say that he also has not been invited onto the network in nearly nine months, the report noted.

“I’ve been watching the censorship happening even in conservative mainstream media,” Don Jr. said on the latest episode of the Steak for Breakfast podcast. “I mean, you saw what sort of Fox did to Tucker Carlson, last week and the week before that, it was Dan Bongino and, you know, the people who would actually question some of that narrative.”

“I’ve been sort of outspoken at America First [network] and I used to be on Fox 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 times a week. I haven’t been on in nine months. Not a call, not an invite, not anything. And so I understand what it, what it appears like they’re trying to do to the America First movement. You know, Tucker was another one of those voices,” Trump Jr. noted further, according to Mediaite.
