Hunter Biden’s former business partner and close friend Devon Archer will not be the last associate of the younger Biden’s to be deposed before the House Oversight Committee. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed to The Post Millennial that “we have more business partners coming in. So this is not the only one, there’s more to come.”
While she could not yet reveal the names of those associates, it is clear that the inquiry into Joe Biden’s alleged influence peddling is far from over.
Greene posted to Twitter on Monday during the deposition that “Biden lied,” and said that was in response to Archer having admitted that he witnessed Hunter Biden “get Joe Biden on the phone with many of his different business partners over 20 times while he was Vice President.”
This was a bombshell from the deposition, which also revealed that Joe Biden, then-Vice President of the United States, was “the brand” that was being sold by Hunter to his business associates. Hunter Biden, according to Archer, engaged directly in influence peddling while his father was in the White House.
“While influence peddling is not necessarily a crime,” Greene said, “in a lot of circles, like say with celebrities, for example. Influence peddling is a massive crime when it comes to someone that is Vice President or President or a member of Congress or Senate or anyone in power to make very important policy decisions.”
While serving as Vice President, Biden bragged about withholding billions of dollars from Ukraine until such time as they fired prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was looking into energy company Burisma, on whose board Hunter sat. Archer testified that the reason Hunter was on the Board was for “the brand,” meaning Joe Biden.
And Joe Biden set about “delivering the goods for the $5 million bribe that he was paid,” Greene said. Many of the questions asked to Archer were on Burisma, though Greene said that many of his answers were that he did “not recall.” Archer testified with no protections of immunity from Biden’s Department of Justice, and he is unlikely to ever receive any.
Over the weekend, that Department of Justice issued a letter to the Southern District Court of New York, instructing them to set a date on which Archer would report to prison on unrelated charges. They later walked that back, but the implications seemed clear that the DOJ, controlled as part of the executive branch of government, was intending to intimidate Archer. Archer had canceled the deposition date three times.
They called Joe Biden “the brand,” Greene said, recounting Archer’s testimony. Archer testified that Hunter Biden would put Joe Biden on the phone, speakerphone usually, during business meetings. Archer testified to having been involved in more than 20 such calls and meetings.
The reason for doing this was that what Hunter was selling was Biden power. This while Biden was VP under Obama, which he likely believed was his last stint in federal government. Hillary Clinton was the heir apparent after the Obama presidency, and Joe Biden didn’t get thrust into a presidential run until after Clinton failed, Trump won, and ran again.
“They made Joe Biden the actual product they were selling,” Greene said, “and that means they were selling the Vice Presidency of the United States.”
