Donald Trump has thanked God for saving his life and vowed he will never ‘allow Evil to win’ and just announced he will be heading to the Republican National Convention today.

Trump announced he will not be delaying his trip, and will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Sunday afternoon – less than 24 hours after he was shot by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from a rooftop 130 yards away.

The former president said he would remain ‘Defiant in the face of Wickedness’ hours after being shot on stage at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump echoed Ronald Reagan who said ‘I owe my life to God’ after he survived being shot in 1981.

Former President Donald Trump announced he will fly to Milwaukee, where the Republican National Convention is being held this week, as planned at 3.30pm on Sunday.

After striking a defiant pose in the aftermath of Saturday’s shooting, raising his fist in the air as Secret Service agents tried to hustle him off the stage, he used Truth Social to announce that nothing, not even a ‘potential assassin’, would stop him pressing ahead with his original plan.

In contrast, President Joe Biden canceled a Monday trip to Texas as his agencies investigate how a 20-year-old gunman came so close to killing the former president.

Trump is due to be anointed the Republican nominee and address the convention on Thursday. He will also announce his running mate during the gathering.
