Amy Schumer released an ostensibly comedic skit on Wednesday, telling viewers to go to Colorodo to get an abortion. She included graphics of states with pro-life legislation and their proximity to the Centennial State as well as links to pro-abortion groups like the Brigid Alliance and WRRAP.
After announcing that visitors can come to Colorado “for the fresh air,” the comedian and cousin to Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer said one may have “access to all the services you may need” while clips overlayed showing an abortion clinic and a medical chair with stirrups poised in position. At one point in the video Schumer says, “Colorado is more centrally located than you think. Especially if you’re coming from say Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Nebraska or Oklahoma. Actually if you’re coming from Missouri or Nebraska or even Iowa don’t forget Illinois is another great option.”
The Republican-led states she mentions all have pro-life legislation on the books.
She also links to pro-abortion groups Brigid Alliance and WRRAP in the video, essentially giving a brief “how to” on getting dubious transportation to Colorado for an abortion.
On Twitter, WRRAP used the ad to raise money.

“Visiting here was on our bucket list of things to do before we die, which honestly, I might have, if I hadn’t been able to visit Colorado,” a woman says during the skit, alluding to the misinformation that many on the pro-abortion left continually repeat; the false claim that the reversal of Roe v. Wade will kill people.
“Not that you need some big dramatic reason to come to Colorado. No one should have to justify a trip to Colorado. Maybe you just want to do with your own body what you want to do with your own body,” Schumer continued.
“My employer actually paid for my trip to Colorado. They cover the travel and time off. I mean, I did have to get HR involved in my personal life which is obviously not ideal and didn’t cover childcare while I was out of town. But still, I’m grateful for access,” another woman said in the skit, referencing how companies like Disney and Amazon are funding travel for women to get abortions out-of-state.
The actress did correctly note that the companies do not pay for childcare, as it is cheaper to encourage their employees to kill their unborn babies.
As Vox and Paste reported in 2016, Schumer’s comedy career was sullied by multiple, credible allegations of joke plagiarism. The self-proclaimed feminist lifted much of her material from other up-and-coming female comedians. Allegations of her joke theft persist through 2022 as the New York Post reports.
A professed advocate of the #TimesUp and #MeToo movement, Schumer also sat on the board of the Time’s Up Foundation and Time’s Up Now Inc. The organization raised an astounding $3,670,219 in its founding year of 2018, but spent $1,407,032 on salaries and only $312,001 on victims of sexual harassment. She also campaigned in 2020 for alleged domestic violence abuser Raphael Warnock in the Georgia Senate run-off election.
Schumer’s video was made to promote a version of her show “Inside Amy Schumer” that is going straight to streaming in October.
