On Wednesday, Joe Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was asked about the economic dangers that US citizens would be facing from the massive influx of migrants being allowed into the country, to which he replied that America is a “nation of immigrants.”
Mayorkas also took questions following his presentation of the new plans he put forth to import more migrants into American homes and workspaces.
Breitbart asked about the fairness of the new immigration policy as American wages begin slipping and rent increases as more migrants enter the country. The Brietbart journalist specifically said, “How do Americans gain from the immigration paths you are opening, sir? No [journalists] ever asks, ‘Do Americans gain from all the immigrants who you bring in — [even though] wages get pushed down, rents get pushed up.’”
Mayorkas responded with “Sir, we are a nation of immigrants. And we are a nation of laws. Individuals who qualify for relief under our laws have a basis to remain in the United States. The contributions of immigrants to this country is quite clear.”
Mayorkas has been a consistently pro-migration border chief, doing everything he can to ensure the southern border is overwhelmed. He has claimed that his management of the border is “all about achieving equity, which is really the core founding principle of our country,” but in that process has deprived millions of Americans of resources that are rightfully theirs.
Breitbart notes that the massive migration heavily hurts everyday Americans and only works to fuel income inequality by shifting the labor market in favor of the wealthy by allowing them to pay cheaper for labor.
The Biden administration, with Mayorkas heading up the border crisis, has brought in a record number of illegal migrants into the country. Cities and states all over the country have been overwhelmed by the migrants being brought in, from Chicago to New York City.
The expiration of Title 42 on Thursday, as covered by the DC Enquirer, is expected to bring an even greater increase to the already insurmountable number of migrants pouring across the southern United States border.
The Left has been stuck between being overwhelmed by the mass migration taking place, as well as trying to be in favor of the illegals crossing the border. Many communities under these Democrat-led states have been caught in the middle of this dicotomy as they finally suffer the consequences of open borders.
Mayorkas’ policies have had disastrous effects on the American people, working to further damage the economy and housing markets. For Mayorkas has shown clear favoritism toward the illegals flooding our border and the elites flooding his pockets over the American citizens that need relief from this border crisis.
