President Joe Biden praised his ‘partner’ Vice President Kamala Harris for ‘aways having my back’ during a Democratic National Committee grassroots event Friday, telling her ‘I love you’ as critics continue to slam their first year in office.

‘Hi, Kamala. I love you,’ Biden said during his opening remarks. ‘You always have my back. You’re really amazing. You’re the best partner I could imagine.’

Smiling, Harris replied: ‘I do.’

Biden, during Friday’s speech, thanked his party for their support alleging it contributed to the ‘enormous progress’ made during his first year in office. However, he acknowledged there were ‘many challenges’ too.

‘I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your support as we make — mark one year in office. Well, sometimes, it seems longer, doesn’t it, Kamala?’ Biden said.

‘But the truth of the matter is it’s been a year of challenges. Some enormous progress was made though, you know, and you’ve helped make it happen.’

The president touted their success with the coronavirus vaccine distribution, lowering unemployment rates and his plans to combat issues of social welfare.

‘You’ve heard some of these statistics: 210 million people vaccinated when 2 million were vaccinated when we took office; 6 million new jobs — I think it’s more than that actually; 3.9 percent unemployment rate — they didn’t expect it for another four years; 40 percent drop in child poverty — a record,’ he preached.

‘And now we’re just getting started in implementing the historic investment and rebuilding America. We’re going to create better jobs for millions of Americans by modernizing our roads, our bridges, our rails, our ports, our airports, clean drinking water. You’ve heard this before, but it’s real.’

He also promoted his controversial Build Back Better plan, alleging it is essential for the nation’s education and healthcare systems.

‘We’ve got to keep pushing the Build Back Better plan to make childcare more affordable and accessible, to make eldercare more affordable and accessible, and make healthcare and prescription drugs, education more affordable and accessible,’ he stated.

Biden promised to push forward with his voting rights bill, which the Senate failed to  advance on Wednesday.

‘Now, we’re going to stand up and protect the right to vote and have that vote counted,’ he argued. ‘That’s what the Republicans are trying to take away. That’s what we have to protect always.’
