US President Joe Biden reportedly shocked the Duchess of Cornwall when he let out some unpleasant gasses at the COP26 summit.

A source close to Camilla said the 74-year-old was blown away to hear Biden break wind as they made polite small talk at the climate change event in Glasgow last week.

“It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,” the source told the Mail on Sunday.

“Camilla hasn’t stopped talking about it.”

The 78-year-old American leader was snapped falling asleep just hours before he met Camilla and reportedly let it rip.

His eyes closed for 30 seconds, and he was woken up by a man in a suit at the conference on Monday afternoon.

After stirring from his slumber, the US leader uncrossed his arms and began to clap for the opening speaker.

Camilla had made the journey to Glasgow alongside her husband Prince Charles.

The pair chatted with Biden at a reception at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, which was originally meant to be hosted by the Queen until she was forced to rest on doctor’s orders.

Although the POTUS released his own natural gas whilst speaking to the Royal pair, he promised to slash worldwide methane emissions by 30 per cent before 2030.

He ironically pledged: “One of the most important things we can do in this decisive decade — to keep 1.5 degrees in reach — is reduce our methane emissions as quickly as possible.”

Biden also said sorry for Donald Trump ’s decision to take the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord.

During the speech, which went on for longer than the allocated three minutes, he promised to give more American resources in the fight against the climate crisis.

Although Camilla might disagree, Boris Johnson hailed Biden as a “big breathe of fresh air”.

The smelly exchange isn’t the first time the President has faced farting allegations – last year, Republicans, including Donald Trump Jr, shared a video of Biden in which a suspicious noise could be heard in the back of a live-stream.

It was later found to be doctored footage.
