The American Accountability Foundation is investigating federal employees it suspects could resist former President Donald Trump’s policies if he wins the White House again in 2024.

The investigation includes the “backgrounds, social media posts and commentary of key high-ranking government employees, starting with the Department of Homeland Security,” according to an Associated Press report.

Tom Jones, the head of the group, said he and his team receive tips from a network of contacts in conservative circles, including federal workers.

The group received a $100,000 grant from the Heritage Foundation, to publish names of 100 federal workers who could be hostile to the implementation of Trump’s agenda.

The Heritage Foundation has launched Project 25, a presidential transition project, which is an “effort of a broad coalition of conservative organizations that have come together to ensure a successful administration begins in January 2025.”

According to the project’s official webpage, “with the right conservative policy recommendations and properly vetted and trained personnel to implement them, we will take back our government.”

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said he backs the American Accountability Foundation in the “fight to hold our government accountable and drain it of bad actors.”

He also said that the “deep state of entrenched Leftist bureaucrats” that allowed the “weaponization of the federal government” to take place.
