Parscale said Trump’s ‘rhetoric’ caused deaths on Jan. 6 riot
Brad Parscale, the former campaign manager to Donald Trump, immediately regretted assisting the 45th president on Jan. 6 and accused him of being responsible for deaths during the riot, new texts reveal.
“This is about trump pushing for uncertainty in our country,” Parscale wrote to former Trump spokesperson Katrine Pierson after the violence began.
“A sitting president asking for civil war…This week I feel guilty for helping him win [in 2016],” he added.
“You did what you felt was right at the time and therefore it was right,” Pierson responded.
Parscale agreed, but pointed out that “a woman is dead,” referring to Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt, who was shot by a Capitol Police officer.
“You do realize this was going to happen,” Pierson answered.
“Yeah. If I was trump and knew my rhetoric killed someone,” Parscale said.
“It wasn’t the rhetoric,” Pierson insisted.
Parscale shot back: “Katrina … Yes it was.”
