A federal judge threw out Donald Trump’s lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James, allowing her three-year probe into his real estate to continue.

U.S. District Just Brenda Sannes’ ruling came one day after a New York appeals court ruled Trump must answer questions under oath in James’ probe, upholding a lower-court ruling that compelled him to sit for a deposition.

Sannes said she based her decision on case law that, in most cases, bars federal judges from interfering in state-level investigations.

‘In a big victory, a federal court has dismissed Donald Trump´s baseless lawsuit to stop my office´s investigation into his and the Trump Organization’s financial dealings,’ James said in a tweet. ‘Frivolous lawsuits won´t stop us from completing our lawful, legitimate investigation.’
