A school board member in Florida is under fire for chaperoning children on a gay bar field trip.
The teachers felt this was a necessary experience for the kids who look around 9-10 years old.
School board member Sarah Leonardi said it was an honor on her social media accounts.
I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone @WiltonManorsES’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s! The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge thank you to @RosiesBnG for hosting this special field trip every year! pic.twitter.com/A3rpMbyUJP

The Washington Examiner reported:
A school board member in Florida is being criticized after saying she was “honored” to chaperone a group of elementary school students on a field trip to a gay bar.
Broward County School Board member Sarah Leonardi said she took the children of Wilton Manors Elementary School to Rosie’s Bar & Grill on what appeared to be an annual field trip, according to a Wednesday social media post by Leonardi.
“I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s!” she posted to Facebook with pictures. “The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge thank you to Rosie’s Bar and Grill for hosting this special field trip every year!”
Images of the field trip show children in the bar sitting down and posing with the restaurant’s sign. The Washington Examiner is not posting the photos out of respect for the underage children.
