Trump sends Easter message less than one week after being arraigned in Manhattan
- Donald Trump sent an Easter Sunday message railing against his adversaries
- Ex-president accused political opponents of ‘dreaming endlessly of destroying our country’
- Comes after he became the first-ever indicted former president and last week was arraigned in Manhattan
Appearing unfazed by the recent events, however, Trump attended a UFC fight in Miami with singer Kid Rock, where the former president was met with roaring applause.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is in Ireland celebrating Easter.
Trump is in his third consecutive presidential campaign, already facing four challengers in his 2024 bid to retake the White House.
The other candidates announced so far are Trump’s former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, biotech multi-millionaire Vivek Ramaswsamy and former Arakansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, however, appears to be the only one who could give Trump a run for his money in 2024, although the popular Sunshine State executive has not yet announced a run.
DeSantis’ Easter message on Twitter was much more subdued than Trump’s. It included an image of a cross on a hill with the message: ‘He is Risen. Happy Easter.’
