Jeff Bezos blasts Biden for trying to blame gas stations for astronomical prices – and even China mocks the president by claiming he ‘now realizes capitalism is exploitation’

  • President Joe Biden pleaded on Twitter the companies that are ‘running gas stations’ to lower their prices ahead of the July 4th holiday
  • One of the world’s richest people, Jeff Bezos, responded to the tweet saying in part: ‘Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this’
  • A Chinese state media representative also replied to Biden’s message saying the president has ‘realized that capitalism is about exploitation’
  • Biden has been blasted for seemingly failing to understand the basic law of supply and demand that dictates prices, and drives the United States’ free-market economy
  • It comes after the Biden administration failed to sell their ‘gas tax holiday’ plan
  • On the same day as Biden’s tweet, Vice President Kamala Harris said that lowering gas prices was ‘probably’ the Biden administration’s top priority

The president sent out the message days after telling Americans that they will have to endure high gas prices for as long as it takes Ukraine to defeat Russia

The president's message caught the attention of the third richest person in the world, Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos

Biden's tweet earned praise from Chen Weihua, a reporter and columnist for the state owned China Daily. Weihua is based in Brussels, Belgium
