Cops increase security at shopping centers after receiving warning that the terror group is plotting an attack just miles from the nation’s capitol
- Cops in Northern Virginia have been warned by ISIS of a potential threat at malls and shopping centers, according to Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin DavisĀ
- Increased law enforcement will continue through Halloween weekend and into Tuesday – Election Day – when McAuliffe and Youngkin compete for governorĀ
- Officers were already reportedly patrolling the area around Fair Oaks Mall, which is located 20miles outside of Washington, DCĀ
- Earlier this week Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence chief John Cohen said ISIS wants individuals to act on their own in lone-wolf attacksĀ
- US intelligence agencies also said they believe the Islamic State in Afghanistan could develop the capability to attack the United States in as little as six months
- The worrisome announcements come after the rapid end of America’s 20-year war, which resulted in the death of 13 US troops killed in an ISIS-K suicide attack
