Lauren Boebert has revealed her romance with an Aspen bar owner was over after DailyMail.com revealed he was a Democrat who hosted drag shows.

The Colorado congresswoman and Quinn Gallagher sparked outrage on September 10 after they were caught on camera fondling each other at a Denver performance of Beetlejuice, and were kicked out of the theatre.

On Monday, she told TMZ she would not be going on a second date with him. ‘I have learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date,’ she said.

She called him a ‘wonderful man’, but said they would not be going out again together.

‘He’s a private citizen, and we have peacefully parted at this time,’ she said. ‘Great man, great friend, and I wish him all the best.’

Boebert, who announced in May she was divorcing her husband of 18 years, was seen taking selfies during the performance, dancing wildly in her seat, and vaping. When a pregnant lady seated behind her asked her to stop, she called her a ‘sad and miserable woman’.

Boebert and Gallagher were kicked out of the theatre by ushers – with an embarrassed Gallagher offering to buy the pregnant woman cocktails by way of apology.

Boebert gave the ushers the finger as she left.

It then emerged that Gallagher, identified by DailyMail.com, was a registered Democrat whose bar hosted drag shows – which Boebert has described as immoral.

The 36-year-old grandmother said drag shows offend her Christian beliefs, tweeting: ‘Take your children to CHURCH, not drag bars.’

The Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen, co-owned by Gallagher, staged ‘a winter Wonderland Burlesque & Drag Show,’ according to social media posts.

Aspen Gay Ski Week hosted ‘an evening of cocktails, appetizers, and laughs’ at Hooch in January 2020 according to a Facebook post.

It is not clear when Gallagher and Boebert’s relationship became romantic, but the bar owner originally comes from the congresswoman’s hometown of Rifle, Colorado, and he still has family there.

It is just a stone’s throw from the controversial congresswoman’s home in Silt.

Boebert initially denied the claims of vaping, claiming the smoke was actually from a fog machine, and issuing a sarcastic statement playing down the anger.

But she made a startling U-turn on Friday night, blaming her behavior on her ‘public and difficult divorce.’

‘The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I’m truly sorry’ she wrote in a statement.

‘There’s no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made a challenging personal time for me and my entire family.’

She then told One America News Network her behavior was due to her ‘overly animated personality’.

‘I was a little too eccentric,’ she said.

‘I am very known for having an animated personality. Maybe overly animated personality.

‘I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time.

‘Was told to kind of settle it down a little bit, which I did but then my next slip up was taking a picture.’
