Trump has continued his very popular rallies and is having a rally on Saturday at the State Fairgrounds in Iowa, a critical early-voting state. According to We Are Iowa, Organizers say they expect tens of thousands of people at the Trump ‘Save America’ rally. This will be a rally to watch for big crowds because Trump’s approval rating in the Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll is 53%.
One Democratic strategist warned: “There’s not a strategist or insider that I’m hanging out with who would like to see Donald Trump running again. Nobody should think he would be a weak nominee.”
Another strategist said Democrats should never “underestimate” Trump’s ability to fire up his base.
Also, Biden’s latest controversial moves haven’t helped him. One fundraiser said Biden has “looked weak; he’s looked defensive. It’s right where Trump wants him.”
A former aide to Senator Chuck Schumer recently told The Hill, “Democrats would be foolish to think he would be easy to take down.”
