Joe Biden doesn’t exactly give off the impression that he’s a man in charge of things. Watching any of his speeches for more than a few minutes will lead you to believe he’s a fry short of a happy meal. His colleagues and the media can make excuses for him till the cows come home but between his outbursts, constant confusion, and controlled interactions with the public, Biden’s not exactly selling us on being the decision-maker.

The Trafalgar Group wanted to see how many people aren’t sold on Biden being at the front, and sure enough, they found the majority of Americans think Biden is hardly taking the lead, but instead, is being led.

As the Daily Wire first reported, the findings even show that a solid chunk of Democrats isn’t even sold on Biden being in charge:

  • 56.5% of American voters do not believe that President Biden is fully executing the duties of his office, while 36.4% believe he is directing all policy and agenda

  • 31.7% of Democrat voters do not believe that President Biden is fully executing the duties of his office, while 58.6% believe he is directing all policy and agenda

  • 83.6% of Republican voters do not believe that President Biden is fully executing the duties of his office, while 11% believe he is directing all policy and agenda

  • 58.4% of Independent voters do not believe that President Biden is fully executing the duties of his office, while 36.1% believe he is directing all policy and agenda

As the Daily Wire went on to point out, Barack Obama’s own doctor noted that something about Biden isn’t right:

“You don’t need to be a physician to look at this behavior and see there’s something concerning happening,” Jackson said. “You can go back – there’s forty years of tape of this man – he’s always made gaffes and stuff but these are different, he’s confused, he’s disoriented.”

“We all know people who are 100-years old, who basically are as sharp as a tack, and we know people who are in their mid-60’s that having some cognitive difficulties…and I think he’s on that end of the spectrum,” Jackson continued. “He’s just not aging gracefully at this point. I’m just asking them, when you do the physical exam include the cognitive assessment. As far as I’m concerned the standard precedent has been set and they need to follow and do the same.”

The question has to be asked. If Biden is this bad at this beginning stage of his presidency, then how bad will he be when it comes time to run for reelection? Will he even be capable of doing so?

An even deeper problem than that will haunt Democrats as well.

It’s going to be hard to get away from the fact that Democrats pushed a man who was incapable of standing on his own two feet and had to be controlled by people in the background. The media will have to work overtime to convince Americans that Biden has full control of his faculties, which will become increasingly harder and more obvious as time goes by, putting Americans in an uneasy position of wanting to know who their leader actually is. A distrust will grow from this, throwing yet another obstacle into the path of Democrats come time for elections to happen.

If even 37 percent of Democrats don’t think Biden is actually in charge, then it’s unlikely that the majority of Americans are going to be willing to vote for him again, if he makes it that far. What’s more, in the meantime, the distrust of Democrats will affect other races including the ones during midterms.

Time will tell, and the results of the midterm elections will likely tell us a lot, but Democrats may have backed themselves into a corner in their desperate bid to oust Donald Trump by inserting a puppet.
