They even brought in “expert” McDonald’s employees to confirm their suspicions 😂

Former President Donald Trump spent some time at a McDonald’s franchise in Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon, largely to troll Vice President Kamala Harris — but The New York Times took the bait too, and the outlet just can’t let it go.

The Times ran a story on Monday titled “Trump Took a Turn at the Fryer. McDonald’s Workers Have Thoughts.”

“After Donald J. Trump served fast food during a campaign stop at a McDonald’s,” the sub-headline read, “Several workers said the candidate showed a willingness to learn but should stick to his day job.”

The Times spoke to several McDonald’s employees who said that “right away” something had seemed to be not quite right with Trump’s job performance.

“The box is, like, backwards,” complained David Ye, a three-year employee at a McDonald’s in Lower Manhattan. “He doesn’t seem to know how to do it.”

Another was concerned after seeing that Trump had jokingly tossed a pinch of salt over his shoulder when he spilled a little. Kishia, a McDonald’s manager in Flatbush, told the Times, “You don’t throw salt like that. Somebody could have been behind him, you know?”

A cashier at a McDonald’s in Queens objected to the campaign stop in its entirety, claiming that it minimized the work she did every day.

“How many days are they gonna drag this out? Why do they keep playing into his hands?” Jon Gabriel asked. “I know they’re the smartest people ever to have lived. They wear glasses, nod thoughtfully. They must have a good reason.”

“Oh no, Trump will never get promoted to shift manager now,” another posted.
