Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) argued for endless war in a Congressional speech on Thursday calling for a reauthorization for the Authorization for Use of Military Force, which was used by former president George W. Bush as a pretense to invade Iraq.
“AUMF repeal without comprehensive replacement is dangerous, misguided, and ignores the security challenges facing our nation. This legislation removes a critical tool used by previous administrations – Republican and Democrat – to defeat terrorist threats originating in Iraq,” she said.
“This repeal would send a message of weakness to our adversaries and allies alike. Repealing this AUMF could prevent the U.S. from taking necessary action to counter Iranian proxies’ malign behavior, eliminate dangerous terrorists like Qassem Soleimani, and counter ISIS,” Cheney added.
Ultimately, the AUMF was approved in a victory for the warmongers. More troops will inevitably die for no good reason as a result of this decision pushed for by Cheney.
As bloodthirsty warmongers like Cheney argue for endless war, patriotic America First lawmakers like Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) stand on behalf of the troops against rapacious defense contractors and the lawmakers who are their soulless puppets.
.@RepThomasMassie: "Hussein’s regime was defeated in 2003. Obama declared the Iraq War ended in 2011, but the AUMF was never repealed. It gives a blank check to keep American soldiers in Iraq indefinitely and puts us at risk of getting into another war.” https://t.co/79LJldoz05

“Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was removed from House Republican leadership on Wednesday by a voice vote of her own constituents.
Cheney voted to impeach former president Donald Trump and has embarked on a crusade against Trump and his supporters in recent weeks. She is especially adamant that no voter fraud occurred in the 2020 presidential election and that her own constituents should be profiled as terrorists.
“I am absolutely committed as I said last night, as I said just now to my colleagues, that we must go forward based on truth. We cannot both embrace the big lie and embrace the Constitution,” Cheney said following her ouster.
“The nation needs a strong Republican Party, the nation needs a party that is based upon fundamental principles of conservatism, and I am committed and dedicated to ensuring that that’s how this party goes forward, and I plan to lead the fight to do that,” she added.
Cheney made it clear that she will work with Democrats to stop Trump from ever regaining the presidency.
“We have seen the danger that he continues to provoke with his language. We have seen his lack of commitment and dedication to the Constitution. And I think it’s very important that we make sure whomever we elect, is somebody who will be faithful to the Constitution,” she said.
“I think that it is an indication of where the Republican Party is, and I think that the party is in a place that we’ve got to bring it back from, And we’ve got to get back to a position where we are a party that can fight for conservative principles that can fight for substance, we cannot be dragged backward, by the very dangerous lies of a former president,” Cheney added.“
The Cheney political dynasty is destined for disgrace, but that is too good for them. For their extensive war crimes, they should face tribunals as well.
