Former Bill Clinton aide and now ABC host/Democrat apologist George Stephanopoulos may wish he didn’t take on the assignment of interviewing Joe Biden in the president’s desperate attempt to salvage his foundering campaign. Stephanopoulos’ own history has come back under the microscope—and it hasn’t been pretty.

GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump took aim at the newscaster on social media Thursday, calling him “one of the worst and most vile Broadcasters in the business” and an “angry man”:

He brought up Brian Ross, who was forced to part ways with the network in 2018 for reporting fake “Russia Collusion” news:

The meanest and most vicious Interviewer out there is George Slopadopoulos of FAKE NEWS ABC, one of the worst and most vile Broadcasters in the business — In fact, the home of disgraced “reporter” Brian Ross whose reporting on the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax was so outlandish that ABC, after defending him at levels not seen before, was forced to put him, and their reputation, out to pasture.

He charged that ABC and Stephanopoulos simply couldn’t be trusted to deliver a fair, unbiased interview and that they would doubtless edit it into an alternate universe.

Now ABC, and Liddle’ George, a tiny, angry man, can make up for their past indiscretions and journalistic failures by doing a real interview with Crooked Joe, not a cut up promotion with only his few coherent answers released to the public.

He reminded the host that Biden has turned the Department of Justice into a political warfare machine.

Let the World know why Joe directed, and allowed his Department of Injustice, and others, to illegally attack his Political Opponent, ME. Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before. Also, ask why he used all Soros Prosecutors and, in particular, a loser like Deranged Jack Smith? The proof is irrefutable – Crooked Joe is a COWARD!!!

Trump isn’t the only one criticizing Stephanopolous, who was famously tasked during the Bill Clinton administration with shaming and delegitimizing women who claimed the philandering former president had sexually assaulted or abused them. Other folks had plenty to say too:

Trump has tangled with Stephanopoulos and ABC in the past, and neither side is likely to start a fan club for the other any time soon.

The former president has a history with Stephanopoulos and the network: He filed a defamation lawsuit against the two in March following an interview the ABC News anchor did with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), taking issue with Stephanopoulos’s questioning saying that Trump had been found liable for rape in the E. Jean Carroll case, when Trump actually had been found liable of sexual abuse.

Meanwhile, Stephanopolous also has a history of distorting the truth and shading the news angle in a way that is favorable to Democrats.

In 2018, Stephanpoulous’ high-profile interview with former FBI Director James Comey, the first interview Comey gave since his abrupt firing by then-President Trump a year earlier, was heavily criticized for a massive editing job. The full transcript released by ABC News revealed it chose not to air several key moments during its Sunday night special, such as when Comey ripped former President Barack Obama.

In 2020, Stephanopoulos failed to ask then-candidate Biden about his son Hunter’s scandalous laptop during an ABC town hall in the days leading up to the presidential election.

George may regret taking on his assignment because as all eyes turn to him, the world is being reminded of what a truly partisan, dishonest hack he is. Whether his interview is enough to save Biden’s reelection campaign remains to be seen, but don’t count on Stephanopoulos to be an honorable seeker of the truth.
