Clash of the GOP titans: Trump REJECTS plea from 2024 rival Gov. DeSantis to postpone rally in Florida amid Miami condo collapse: One Republican lawmaker says ex-president ‘needs to read the room’
- Former President Donald Trump will still be holding a rally this weekend in Sarasota, despite alleged calls from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to cancel it
- According to a report, DeSantis begged Trump to cancel it because of the Champlain Towers South condo collapse
- An anonymous source said that this is part of an ongoing feud between Trump and DeSantis’s camps
- But Christina Pushaw, the governor’s press secretary, denied such claims and said DeSantis never even called for the event to be canceled
According to the Washington Examiner, DeSantis’s office ‘made a direct plea’ for Trump to call off his rally and one Republican told him and his team to ‘read the room’ as troops across the globe are searching for bodies following the Miami condo collapse.
