Tucker Carlson is the most popular host on Fox News.
But Carlson threw viewers a curveball.
And Tucker Carlson took on Donald Trump in one jaw dropping interview.
Tucker Carlson and American Greatness’s Julie Kelly are two of the biggest voices in the media that questioned the left-wing narrative that on January 6 white supremacist Trump supporters staged an insurrection.
Carlson and Kelly poked holes in that storyline, noting that prosecutors did not charge any of the 670 people arrested with insurrection or sedition.
Kelly’s reporting focused on the inhuman treatment of Trump supporters detained indefinitely in Washington, D.C., reporting they are being denied proper food, exercise, and communication with the outside world.
Carlson responded to Kelly’s reporting to ask Kelly if Trump – or anyone associated with Trump that raked in millions from their work on the 2020 campaign – sent money to help with people arrested on January 6 to help pay for their legal expenses or to help their families.
“People are going to be offended that I ask this, but I can’t control myself. What about the president on whose behalf they were gathered that day? Has anybody sent them money? The people around him, Brad Parscale, all these people are getting rich, right? Complaining that the last election was rigged, which it clearly was, obviously. And they’re making all this money and all these people are sending all this money down to Florida. But is any of that money going to defend these people who went to this rally on behalf of that candidate?” Carlson asked Kelly.
Kelly responded that she hasn’t heard anything like that, but that Trump offered words of sympathy for those being treated unfairly and helped raise awareness about the horrific killing of Ashli Babbitt on January 6.
Carlson was upset to hear none of the people that earned fabulous wealth working for Donald Trump’s campaigns tried to help people arrested at a protest over the election they believed was stolen from Trump.
“I just find that appalling,” Carlson exclaimed. “I really do. I really find that appalling.”
