Notable GOP senators who voted against Garland’s confirmation included Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Ben Sasse, Rick Scott, Tim Scott, Pat Toomey, and Tommy Tuberville. Nineteen more joined them to vote “nay” as well.
