Inspector General Michael Horowitz released audit results which implicate the FBI’s dishonesty in the application process for eavesdropping on the Trump Campaign. The FBI made ‘significant errors and omissions‘ in their applications.

Previously, IG Horowitz detailed in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray that out of the 29 FISA applications submitted by the FBI, 4 of them lacked supporting documentation that needed to be produced prior to submission.

The other 25 applications contained ‘apparent errors or inadequately supported facts’. The Watchdog Office reported each application contained an average of 20 issues; 65 issues were found in one particular application.
