President Biden determined Trump’s effort to keep a new batch of January 6 records out of Congress’ hands ‘is not in the best interests of the United States.’
Trump filed a lawsuit last week attempting to block the January 6 committee from obtaining the first batch of documents from the National Archives.
The committee is composed of seven Democrats and two Republican
Lawsuit argues the committee has no power of investigation and therefore its subpoena is invalid
Trump also insisted that the records were protected by ‘executive privilege’
