- Ryan traveled to South Carolina on Wednesday to officially endorse Rep. Tom Rice, one of the 10 House Republicans to vote in favor of Trump’s impeachment
- ‘There were a lot of people who wanted to vote like Tom but who just didn’t have the guts to do it,’ Ryan said
- In February, Trump endorsed South Carolina state Rep. Russell Fry in the race to oust Rice, as several Republicans are challenging the 10-year incumbent
- Trump said that Rice ‘must be thrown out of office ASAP,’ with South Carolina voters heading to the polls on June 14
