Senate Majority Chief Mitch McConnell doubled down Friday on his opposition to $2,000 stimulus checks and Republicans once more blocked last-ditch efforts to approve the improved coronavirus reduction.
McConnell dismissed the $2,000 checks as a “common money giveaway” and never the best strategy to offer focused reduction to those that want it most.
“An enormous chunk would basically be socialism for wealthy individuals,” McConnell mentioned.
